REMINDER: Supper With The Foot Soldiers at Z's Restaurant TONIGHT, MONDAY, December 3, 2012
|
Dear Visitor,
You are invited to join the Foot Soldiers of the Civil Rights Movement for dinner, discussions and decisions about the civil rights issues today, from education to social and environmental justice to economics and employment.
The December supper will feature Sarah Collins Rudolph, the fifth little girl from the Sixteenth Street Church bombing on September 15, 1963. She told her story yesterday on the radio show, sharing her trauma and eventual spiritual healing from the tragic event that took the life of her sister, Addie Mae Collins, and their three friends.
Join radio show host Lady BJ Love King and co-host Sephira Shuttlesworth and other special guests to meet Mrs. Rudolph and to discuss future topics of Civil Rights Radio as the Golden Anniversary of the 1963 Birmingham Movement approaches in 2013.
Location: Z's Restaurant (at 104 17th Street North, Birmingham, AL 35203) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Guests can enjoy a full-course soul food meal for $12.
